We keep Guole's data practices focused, transparent, and tied to the immersive features you actually use.
This Privacy Policy describes how Guole collects, uses, stores, shares, and protects information when you use the App, including image import, local archive features, settings persistence, optional in-app purchases, and policy access.
Mostly Local Processing
Core visual settings, imported image references, archive captures, and coin balance are primarily stored on your device.
Apple Handles Purchases
In-app purchases are processed through Apple StoreKit and your App Store account, not through a custom backend catalog.
No Sale of Personal Information
As of this effective date, we do not sell personal information and do not knowingly share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Regional Rights Supported
We provide request channels intended to support applicable rights in California, Canada, Singapore, Australia, and similar jurisdictions.
1. Scope of This Policy
This Privacy Policy applies to Guole and related policy pages or support interactions that reference it. It covers information processed in connection with the App's recursive visual experience, theme management, image import, archive capture, optional coin purchases, and support communications.
2. What This Policy Does Not Cover
This Policy does not replace the privacy terms of Apple, your mobile operating system provider, your app store account, your internet service provider, or third-party websites that you may visit outside the App.
3. Information We Collect
| Category | Examples | How We Get It |
|---|---|---|
| Support Information | Email address, message content, attachments, and any details you send when contacting support. | You provide it directly to us by email. |
| App Preferences and State | Theme selection, haptics preference, motion intensity, depth goal, local coin balance, unlocked theme identifiers, and pending action state. | Generated through your use of the App and stored locally on device. |
| Imported Images and Generated Archive Content | Photos you choose from the system photo library, saved captures, archive metadata such as timestamp, reached depth, instability score, and local file paths. | Collected only when you choose to import, save, or generate visual records. |
| Purchase and Commerce Information | Product identifiers, localized prices from Apple, purchase state, restore state, and coin delivery results. | Received through Apple StoreKit and in-app purchase processing. |
| Permission and Platform Signals | Photo picker usage, photo library access context, and App Tracking Transparency authorization status. | Provided by iOS when you grant, deny, or manage permissions. |
| Technical and Network Context | Basic connectivity events, device-to-service network metadata such as IP address that may be visible to Apple or network operators during ordinary requests. | Generated automatically when the App or a hosted page communicates over the network. |
4. How We Collect Information
- Directly from you: when you import images, trigger a capture, change settings, restore purchases, or contact support.
- Automatically from your device: when the App stores local state, responds to permissions, or loads product pricing from Apple.
- From Apple or platform services: for transaction status, localized purchase information, and permission frameworks.
5. How We Use Information
- to provide Guole's recursive visual experience and save the settings you choose;
- to import, render, and locally archive photos and generated capture records at your direction;
- to process, validate, restore, and secure in-app purchase activity through Apple;
- to respond to support or privacy requests you send to us;
- to maintain app integrity, prevent abuse, fix issues, and meet legal obligations.
6. Tracking, Advertising, and Similar Technologies
Guole includes an App Tracking Transparency permission flow in the startup baseline. However, as of this effective date, Guole's core shipped experience is not designed around selling personal information and does not knowingly share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
If a future version materially changes tracking behavior, we will update this Policy and provide any notices or controls required by applicable law before relying on those practices.
7. How We Share Information
We may share information only in the limited ways described below:
- Apple and platform providers: for App Store billing, StoreKit transaction handling, localization of product information, and device permission frameworks.
- Service providers: such as email, hosting, or infrastructure providers that help us operate support channels or hosted policy pages, subject to appropriate confidentiality and security expectations.
- Legal and safety reasons: when disclosure is reasonably necessary to comply with law, enforce rights, detect fraud, or protect users, us, or the public.
- Business transfers: if Guole is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, or asset transfer, information may be transferred as part of that transaction subject to applicable law.
8. Sale, Sharing, and Sensitive Information
As of the effective date above, we do not sell personal information, and we do not knowingly share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising as those concepts may be defined under California law.
We do not use sensitive personal information to infer characteristics about you beyond what is reasonably necessary to provide the feature you request, such as processing a photo you choose to import or displaying purchase results.
9. Data Retention
- Local settings and coin balance: retained on device until you change them, clear app data, or remove the App.
- Imported images and archive captures: retained on device until deleted by you, overwritten by later selections, or removed when the App is deleted.
- Support emails: retained for as long as reasonably necessary to respond, document decisions, comply with law, or defend legal claims.
- Purchase records: may also be retained by Apple under Apple's own retention practices.
10. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures appropriate to the nature of the information and the way Guole operates. No method of storage, transmission, or device security is completely guaranteed, so you should also protect your device, Apple account, and local backups.
11. International Data Transfers
If you use Guole from outside the jurisdiction where support, hosting, or platform services operate, information may be processed in other countries, including where Apple or infrastructure providers maintain systems. Where required, we seek to use reasonable safeguards suitable for the nature of the transfer.
12. Your Privacy Rights
